Commencing two years after the county’s formation, these 4,000 marriage bonds or ministers’ returns list the grooms alphabetically by surname, followed by the full name of the woman, the date of the marriage bond or minister’s return, and the names of parents, sureties, and officiating ministers. Women’s names are separately indexed.
