Genealogies of Kentucky Families

This Family Archive CD contains images of the pages of the 200 family history articles published originally in “The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society” and “The Filson Club History Quarterly” and subsequently collected and reprinted by GPC in three volumes under the title “Genealogies of Kentucky Families.” Two of the three volumes are composed of articles excerpted from the “Register,” the third from the “Quarterly.” Referencing approximately 51,000 individuals, the articles contain every Bible record, every family history, and every genealogical fragment ever published in these distinguished Kentucky periodicals. Depending on the article, what you can learn about each individual varies. For the most part, however, this collection includes family histories, Bible records, vital records, and cemetery inscriptions. The combined articles are preceded by introductory remarks written by the editors of the two periodicals, James Klotter of the Register and Nelson Dawson of the “Quarterly.” For convenience in searching, an alphabetical name index is included on the CD.
