The coverage is exhaustive, embracing references to approximately 6,500 families. The families are listed in alphabetical order and, thereunder, where necessary to distinguish families of the same name, by residence, seat, or estate, the citations giving the title of the publication in which the genealogy is found, the author, date of publication, and, where appropriate, volume and page number.
